Josh spent the morning getting ready with his groomsmen and our fathers. As a part of Persian tradition, the groom is meant to not put anything on himself, so each one of his Groomsmen and our dads helped him put everything on from his wedding-day cologne (Xanaboud by Perfumehead) to his bowtie.
It culminated with a Catholic ceremony on the steps of Saint Stanislaus Church in Altos De Chavon, followed by a wedding reception at a private ocean-side villa in Casa De Campo on February 10th, 2024. They became fast friends after first meeting at a Topaz Jones show in 2016 at Trans-Pecos in Queens.
Although we used mostly local vendors we decided to fly in Liz Banfield, who photographed our entire wedding weekend, from our private family church ceremony on Thursday through to our exit on Saturday night. We had a string quartet from Vineyard Violin perform our ceremony music.

Noah’s groomsmen were all close friends, roommates, and classmates from Baylor, and Noah gifted them Baylor cufflinks to commemorate the university where they all met.

Although the venue is gorgeous with high ceilings and a ton of character lending to its history, we wanted to turn it into a garden vibe and create that WOW moment both when walking into ceremony and then again after the room turn, when seeing the reception decked out in white and textural details.[/field]
field] [field title=”Proposal Story”] In the fall of 2016, we met briefly at the University of Alabama. field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]For the ceremony, J.R. After the ceremony, he exchanged his tux jacket for a white dinner jacket and wore that for our sunset photos and the reception.
Cascais’ courses earned the location the title of “Best European Golf Destination” in 2007 and 2016. Praia da Arriba is a small beach surrounded by rocks, where you could have a very romantic set up for your wedding ceremony. Praia do Guincho is a dune beach, where you can have your ceremony and also a very cool photo shoot.
