Actually, one of the first vendors we booked was the Ramblin’ Reck (one of Georgia Tech’s mascots) as our getaway car. Although we used mostly local vendors we decided to fly in Liz Banfield, who photographed our entire wedding weekend, from our private family church ceremony on Thursday through to our exit on Saturday night. When we were forced to consider postponement in March of 2020, my partner Pablo and I took it as an opportunity to pause and ask ourselves why wasn’t the process working for us? I was able to work with new vendors and explore interesting avenues of DIY and creativity that you don’t always get to do when planning other people’s events.
