We brought in lucite/acrylic in with the chairs, head table “acrylic” place mats, and lucite napkin rings. They went to a playoff game for Meagan’s birthday in 2022, and that’s when the proposal happened! The reception band was Uptown Drive, which was a highlight specifically for the bride’s dad.

I found vintage peacocks at an antique store for the head table, and used them in my invites and wedding signage. in January 2022. in January 2022. The reception tent was lined with colorful flowers with greenery hanging from the ceiling. I chose Mattie’s because of its romantic historic charm.

Our dining tables played off of richer colors with our rentals, like our Forest Green linens, a fun patterned head table linen, and the rich deep brown stoneware charger to bring a nod to the dark, moody vibe of the dinner barn. We then brightened it up with bold florals and deep pink candles.

Once we moved in together after I completed grad school, I jokingly said I wanted to be engaged by the end of the year (December 2022). We moved in together in June 2022 and were engaged July 22, 2022. We both knew we would get engaged sometime after I finished PA school. My timeline worked! I was truly so surprised.
