Kicking off our 2023 wedding season, we could not be more excited to share Alisa and Justin’s winter wedding in DC on the blog today. A Catholic Ceremony at St. Joseph’s in Capitol Hill Alisa and Justin’s Catholic ceremony was a beautiful event, with an atmosphere of solemnity and joy all at once.

Three years and several cross-country moves later, Jared proposed in Florence, Italy and they tied the knot in Austin, Texas on September 8, 2023. Ceremony was held at the Temple of Love, a historical replica of a classic gazebo sited at the original entrance to Laguna Gloria.

Guests were greeted by a gorgeous floral arbor and rose petal aisle overlooking Wychmere Harbor as they entered the ceremony. The bride’s mother gifted her a 2023 penny in the same penny pouch she used on her wedding day, which the bride carried with her for good luck![/field] pearl earrings, necklace and bracelet.[/field]

The ceremony featured large baskets of florals en masse, a nod to Tuscany and we set up the chairs runway style, so there wasn’t a bad seat in the house.
