They hosted their ceremony and reception at La Casa Toscana, a private Tuscan estate in the heart of Southwest Florida. We had ivory with touches of blue and lavender for ceremony and for reception we showcased a lemon yellow, soft lavender and powder blue. We channeled ivories neutrals throughout for warmth, + used just a dash of gold at the reception for a touch of vintage. The most special and memorable thing for both of us was our FirstLook. For the reception I wanted to go with a more casual look that still felt bridal + modern. It was the perfect party dress!
Our wedding planner showed me some photos she’d found of reception tables nestled amongst flowers, almost as though they were in the middle of a garden. field] [field title=”Special Detail #1″]For the reception and dancing, I changed into a shorter, feathered dress and some bedazzled sneakers.
For the reception, we used the same color palette, but added in a few red blooms to coordinate with the bright red drapes in the Omni Shoreham Ballroom. She accessorized this with gloves and a more traditional, simple veil during the ceremony and surprised guests with a vintage birdcage veil during the reception.
The next area that was something they knew would elevate their ceremony & reception was rented chairs. One part of the reception they were most excited about was the martini room. Even with a plated meal, they wanted guests to take their seats and it feel grand. During the design part of planning, we landed on a martini room.
