The design started to shine from the beginning as guests received their custom invitations with a watercolored image of the bride and groom walking through a field of flowers foreshadowing the event to come. After being denied entrance due to early closure, the groom negotiated his way in to a private audience with the bride in front of the otters! His groomsmen wore chambray suites from Jos. Instead of the bride taking the groom’s last name or hyphenating it, both the bride and the groom chose a new last name to use moving forward.

The carefully curated selection of passed hors d’oeuvres told the story of the couple’s refined tastes – from the bride’s favorite Red Grape Boulettes delicately wrapped in Big Island Goat Cheese and Macadamia Nut flakes, to the groom’s choice of Mochiko Fried Citrus-Ginger Short Rib.
It culminated with a Catholic ceremony on the steps of Saint Stanislaus Church in Altos De Chavon, followed by a wedding reception at a private ocean-side villa in Casa De Campo on February 10th, 2024. The groomsmen all wore black tuxedos.

I absolutely loved seeing how guests interpreted my crazy theme and laughing with them about it the day of. Pat accessorized with a pair of Gucci loafers and a watch I gave him as a wedding gift.
