The bridal party completed the Fall aesthetic with the bridesmaids wearing black gowns in different styles and fabrics with their hair styled long and loose. The groom and his groomsmen wore black suits with black ties and boutonnieres with a single bud and greenery wrapped with raw ribbon.
I tried to stray away from choosing extremely trendy elements, whether it be small details, color palettes, bridesmaids’ dresses, my hairstyle, and every detail in between. I kept thinking back on wedding photos and the overall vibe aligning with classic brides like Jackie Kennedy and Grace Kelly.
Men are expected to wear afternoon suits and women are expected to wear nice dresses that are less formal than evening gowns but more formal than sundresses, suits, or skirts with a blazer.
Wedding planners, stationers, photographers, caterers, florists, and more all heard our challenge and rose to the occasion. Some of their standout advice included ditching traditional black-tie attire in favor of something more contemporary. Think white walls, concrete floors, and vaulted ceilings.
The pretty pink floral print pushed me to lean into PINK throughout all aspects of my wedding! My vision for our wedding reflected my minimalist but chic style.
