The styles ranged from fashion-forward suitssuch as the grooms fathers sleek black Dior tuxedoto timeless, classic tuxedos, creating an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere.
[/field] [field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Brooke’s bridesmaids all wore floor length black gowns. This added to the timeless elegance in her wedding vision, and was the perfect color choice for the blacktie affair! Raining Roses Production provided the most beautiful white floral arrangements.

The design included everything from an embellished tree stump arrangement to direct our guests to the ceremony site to an exuberant arrangement of baby’s breath as a focal point to our ceremony. Our favorite baker in Athens is Cecilia’s Cake Shop.
Nick did not have groomsmen but did get ready for the wedding with our dads and his closest friends. The wedding was blacktie, so Nick’s friends all wore tuxedos. He did not have groomsmen.
Originally, we purchased a tux from another designer online, but when he put it on at home, we both were underwhelmed. Although we had announced it was a blacktieevent, I said let’s just try going to suitsupply and see if maybe a color tux would help. His search was not as simple as we had expected.

We wanted to keep all arrangements low to underscore that, while the wedding was blacktie, the event was family focused. Andraya Northrup, lead designer and owner of FLORA, focused all arrangements on petal heavy blooms with whimsical textures. Leave formality at the door. Simple, yet impactful.

We wanted the aesthetic of the wedding to reflect the landscape and personality of Sea Island, as well as our own, so it was lots of bright color and cheeriness! Although we knew we wanted it to be a formal black-tieevent, we still wanted it to be upbeat, bright, and not all too serious to reflect our personalities.
