My wedding earrings were custom made by Dee Ruel of Charleston, and my shoes were from Something Bleu. I told them to wear any pink dress as long as it made them feel amazing. From the beginning I wanted girls to pick a dress and a style they were comfortable in. field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen and groom wore black suits with a blacktie. Then most of the boys opted for a black cowboy hat.[/field] I was so happy with how it turned out![/field]
For my weddingdress, I picked a Mira Zwillinger gown which was actually one of the first I tried on. Nick did not have groomsmen but did get ready for the wedding with our dads and his closest friends. The wedding was blacktie, so Nick’s friends all wore tuxedos. He did not have groomsmen.
Originally, we purchased a tux from another designer online, but when he put it on at home, we both were underwhelmed. Although we had announced it was a blacktieevent, I said let’s just try going to suitsupply and see if maybe a color tux would help. His search was not as simple as we had expected.

We wanted the aesthetic of the wedding to reflect the landscape and personality of Sea Island, as well as our own, so it was lots of bright color and cheeriness! Although we knew we wanted it to be a formal black-tieevent, we still wanted it to be upbeat, bright, and not all too serious to reflect our personalities.
