For my wedding dress, I picked a Mira Zwillinger gown which was actually one of the first I tried on. Nick did not have groomsmen but did get ready for the wedding with our dads and his closest friends. The wedding was blacktie, so Nick’s friends all wore tuxedos. He did not have groomsmen.
I found my ceremony gown on my first trip to Vows. I went in with one designer and silhouette in mind and came out with the opposit but stunning Martina Liana ! Originally, we purchased a tux from another designer online, but when he put it on at home, we both were underwhelmed. His search was not as simple as we had expected.
The design included everything from an embellished tree stump arrangement to direct our guests to the ceremony site to an exuberant arrangement of baby’s breath as a focal point to our ceremony. But when I put on the Oscar de la Renta dress, I knew it was the one!

We wanted the aesthetic of the wedding to reflect the landscape and personality of Sea Island, as well as our own, so it was lots of bright color and cheeriness! Although we knew we wanted it to be a formal black-tieevent, we still wanted it to be upbeat, bright, and not all too serious to reflect our personalities.
