I started loving seeing hints of purple in florals, and wanted to have small pops of color throughout my bouquet and throughout the ballroom. I didn’t do a second gown for the reception because I was too obsessed with the gown![/field] My sisters were my maids of honor and they wore sage dresses with a light blue floral design.

While the green arbor was beautiful, I wanted to bring in the elements of my bouquet to the space and Alexa created a beautiful arrangement of hydrangeas, roses, and amaranthus that hung above us.
I decided to have my something blue moment that day too by adding in a pair of blue Amina Muaddi heels, which matched a few pops of blue in my otherwise white bouquet. The theme of our Friday welcome reception was garden cocktail party after both the location, Atria’s beautiful lawn and tented patio, as well as my middle name “Rose”.
Best way of going about wedding dress shopping is finding a date that works for the wedding party (mom, Maid of Honor, bridesmaids, cousins) either during the week or weekend. If you have extra lace from your fittings, send it to your florist so he/she can wrap your bridal bouquet with the lace. I am sure you can imagine A LOT.

Maids of Honor dresses because they have such a range of gorgeous quality gowns in different styles. Navy is one of Liz’s favorite all-purpose, go-to colors generally, so she chose it in the hopes that her Maids of Honor could wear their dresses again sometime! They were spectacular! Truly, Krystal’s work is magic.
Marek is a fan of architecture, so we brought in touches of the Mont La Salle building details into the stationery design, constructed a custom seating display (in the style of one of their fav Chicago hangouts), and upgraded the reception chairs to something a bit more modern. Hannah wanted petite bouquets for her and the bridesmaids.
We played with pops of black to compliment a mostly neutral palette highlighting the beautiful Carmel Valley surrounding the ceremony & reception space.[/field] field] [field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Kristin chose champagne gowns for her maids of honor, each with a design that fit their taste.[/field]

As guests transitioned to the reception, they were welcomed into a space imbued with a light and contemporary ambiance. For reception, each table had locally-sourced, vibrant, seasonal florals in modern containers that reflected the whimsy and restrained elegance of the overall design. The main cake, was topped with two puppies. Such a cute touch. A ceremony little me dreamed about!!!

The funky textures of Lindsay’s bouquet and pops of fun within Alex’s tie are so cute! Each of their bouquets were mini versions of Lindsay’s bouquet, featuring the bright pops of pink, mauve, and that pretty champagne like gold. I think my my mom, my MIL and my maid of honors, all knew it would be the one but I didn’t want too many opinions so quickly, and to commit after only trying on one dress.
