The bride changed into a remodeled wedding reception dress previously worn by the Bride’s mother, tailored by Delia’s Alterations in Nashville.[/field] The groom changed into a Western-Inspired suit from Sister Jane for the reception and wore a Roy Rogers bolo tie gifted by the bride’s deceased grandfather.
[/field] [field title=”Proposal Story”]When they first started dating, the bride and groom lived on opposite ends of Boston. At the end of the night, they would walk to the Arlington T station where the bride would get on the bus to go home and the groom would get on the train back to his apartment.
The bride knew the venues grand front porch was the perfect altar and utilizing the outside was her top priority. The design started to shine from the beginning as guests received their custom invitations with a watercolored image of the bride and groom walking through a field of flowers foreshadowing the event to come.
[/field] [field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bride opted out of traditional matching dresses and instead had her best friends select any blue and green dresses they felt their best in. The tartan patterned jacket featured a print of the groom’s family crest on the inner lining nodding to his family’s history.

From the delicate white florals to the lush greenery that adorned both ceremony and reception, every detail was thought of to create an intimate yet timeless setting. Pillar candles and votives were set among the arrangements, casting a romantic glow over the reception.

The grooms cousins husbands brother recommended it during a chance encounter in town and since it was only about 40 minutes away from home, it made for an ideal location for the grooms family and friends to get to. The tailor acquired his vast knowledge of fabrics and client-centric approach from his family to reflect the ideal image of the perfect groom. Shoes in our grooms case are Ferragamos. Heritage inspired, classy, and ideal touch to complite a refine style of the groom. The bride and groom practically assembled it themselves.
The food was delicious, and reflected the taste buds of the bride and groom. Not only did they offer the classic shrimp and grits and carving station, but they also threw in individual, Chinese takeout boxes filled with the bride & grooms favorite noodle dish. Reception decor incorporated greenery-draped chandeliers, light blue taper candles, and gold accents, creating a perfect balance of elegance and natural beauty.
