While our groom described himself as a “Jeans and a T-Shirt” type of guy, our bride loved all things rich textures, velvet, and dressing up which led us to a day where casual & comfortable met formal & fancy.

There were patterns brought to life on the table with multiple texture elements. Donna Martinez, Mary’s mom, is the director of weddings at Plymouth and Mary is also a wedding coordinator on her spare time. It was now Mary’s turn to be the bride. The beautiful historic stone church was the same church that Mary’s parents had gotten married and her family are active members.
For the reception, we brought the botanical garden indoors with plenty of florals for each table. For the headtable, we chose to create a simple greenery design for a natural touch and surrounded the front with plenty of tall floral arrangements. They had a tower of donut cake with a small special cake as the topper.
All our wedding flowers were mostly white, with subtle touches of light blue & greenery. The bride’s favorite flowers, Ranunculus & white tulips, were incorporated throughout the wedding florals. Not only was she a bride, but she also planned & designed every detail of this wedding day!
We brought in lucite/acrylic in with the chairs, headtable “acrylic” place mats, and lucite napkin rings. With the color that came through in the floral and tables, the bride had her bridesmaids in white to create a very modern look with wedding party and ceremony moments.
From the bride… Another memorable item on the day was a necklace I wore, which my mom gave to me on the wedding day. The bride wanted the headtable to feel as though you were dining amongst the flowers in an upside down garden. The combination of natural beauty and floral elegance was magical.

Peach and creamy whites were the hero colors, with shade variations of the others to add dimension and vibrancy to the overall wedding. The headtables featured white jacquard linens, a favorite textile of the brides, and the guest tables featured an ivory overlay. Guests absolutely loved it!

Serving as the pièce de résistance, a magnificent cascading floral runner adorned the headtable, commanding attention with its sheer beauty. field] [field title=”WeddingCake”] For the weddingcake, our aspiration was to evoke a vintage-inspired charm, drawing upon beloved styles from the past.
Her reception dress, by designer Lela Rose, was also her rehearsal dinner dress, “I loved it so much I had to wear it again” said the bride.[/field] field] [field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bride’s sister, who was also the Maid of Honor, selected the blush pink bridesmaids gowns from Bellas Bridesmaids.
Our bride was heavily inspired by IG influencer, Champagne & Chanel’s wedding where the flowers were the focal point and having that true romantic, femininity come through was important. 6 other round tables flanked the headtable with sweet low centerpieces and more candles.
The aim was to create an elegant wedding celebration that was chic and eclectic with both traditional and contemporary French touches! field] [field title=”Proposal Story”] For the bride’s birthday, the groom said they’d be visiting Paris! For the ceremony, a natural floral border led the bride down the aisle.

The wedding party then shuttled down to Forge in the Forest in Carmel-by-the-Sea, a Clint Eastwood hang out spot, for the welcome party. The bride stunned in her embroidered mini Zimmerman dress and the groom looked suave in his Suit Supply garb. They hung chandeliers in the tree behind the headtable. I look so cool!”
[section title=”The Planning”] [field title=”Wedding Colors”] The wedding colors were orange, pink, green, and yellow. From there, I trusted my wedding planner ( Katie Ryan ) and florist ( Fig & Squill ) to curate a vision that turned out even more perfect than I could have ever imagined.

Everyone gathered at thoughtfully curated tables with colorful china & unexpected details all while hearing the music swell and dancing the night away under festive market lights![/field] Velvet grass pendants + a mix of gold and clear pendants hung above the table with greenery and florals to create a lush tabletop.

I kept thinking back on wedding photos and the overall vibe aligning with classic brides like Jackie Kennedy and Grace Kelly. I opted for an optional black tie dress code, which fit the overall vision I had for the wedding perfectly. We filled in a lush and long row of baby’s breath down the length of the table.
The focal point of the ceremony was the stunning floral arbor, which continued to dazzle guests behind the bride and groom at the headtable. This rounded arch was adorned with lush foliage, intertwining vines, and an array of blooming flowers, creating a truly enchanting and vibrant display.
The person who catches the bouquet is said to be married next Buck’s night- a gathering of the groom-to-be’s closest friends to celebrate their friendship and his upcoming marriage (also called a “bachelor party”) Buffet- a variety of dishes displayed on tables that guests can create their own plates from.
[/field] [field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The overall design vision was an English garden party mixed with the whimsy of Bridgerton mixed with subtle nods to the pop culture significance of a British Monarchy Royal Wedding. Tip: ask bridesmaids to save the extra fabric from alterations so it can be used on wedding day.
For the dance party, the bride wore a halter style short empire waist tulle and feather dress custom made by friend and dress designer Kristi Vosbeck, paired with Alexander McQueen crystal embellished leather sneakers to make it more comfortable and fun. The guests enjoyed the specialty cocktails picked specially by the bride and groom.
