She even sourced gorgeous silk white bows for the inner ceremony seats that were later moved to the headtable. Amanda from Embellished Weddings brought her expertise in decor and rentals, suggesting a stunning blush linen from Nuage Designs that echoed the 3D floral appliqus of my gown!
Jennie Weller Catering and Events truly rose to the occasion and gave Heidi the wedding feast of her dreams! Southern Posies has planned and flowered all three of the Gilmore Girls wedding! And at every sister’s wedding, they wanted a headtable to be able to share their first married meal with their family!

While our groom described himself as a “Jeans and a T-Shirt” type of guy, our bride loved all things rich textures, velvet, and dressing up which led us to a day where casual & comfortable met formal & fancy.
The color blocking around the reception tied all of the headtable greenery in! The bride’s bouquet was a mix of all colors used at the color blocking wedding![/field] field] [field title=”Wedding Cake”]Opted for no cake at this event.

This A-line gown, embroidered with floral applique had a glitter tulle and bows on the shoulders. [/field] [field title=”Florals & Decor”]The florals were colorful bold and fun. There were patterns brought to life on the table with multiple texture elements. The headtable was a beautiful BBJ La Tavola linen.

Donna Martinez, Mary’s mom, is the director of weddings at Plymouth and Mary is also a wedding coordinator on her spare time. It was now Mary’s turn to be the bride. The beautiful historic stone church was the same church that Mary’s parents had gotten married and her family are active members.
For the reception, we brought the botanical garden indoors with plenty of florals for each table. For the headtable, we chose to create a simple greenery design for a natural touch and surrounded the front with plenty of tall floral arrangements. They had a tower of donut cake with a small special cake as the topper.
I purchased my weddinggown at Ivory & White Bridal Boutique in Mountain Brook, Alabama. All our wedding flowers were mostly white, with subtle touches of light blue & greenery. The bride’s favorite flowers, Ranunculus & white tulips, were incorporated throughout the wedding florals.
We brought in lucite/acrylic in with the chairs, headtable “acrylic” place mats, and lucite napkin rings. With the color that came through in the floral and tables, the bride had her bridesmaids in white to create a very modern look with wedding party and ceremony moments.
From the bride… Another memorable item on the day was a necklace I wore, which my mom gave to me on the wedding day. The bride wanted the headtable to feel as though you were dining amongst the flowers in an upside down garden. The combination of natural beauty and floral elegance was magical.

Peach and creamy whites were the hero colors, with shade variations of the others to add dimension and vibrancy to the overall wedding. The headtables featured white jacquard linens, a favorite textile of the brides, and the guest tables featured an ivory overlay. Guests absolutely loved it!
With sweet floral detail to match the gown, Darian chose a gorgeous cathedral length veil and Jimmy Choo heels to walk down the aisle in. Our bride was heavily inspired by IG influencer, Champagne & Chanel’s wedding where the flowers were the focal point and having that true romantic, femininity come through was important.

Cara was always in awe over royal weddings, admiring the long trains and regal veils. Serving as the pièce de résistance, a magnificent cascading floral runner adorned the headtable, commanding attention with its sheer beauty. They are now each other’s perfect travel partner.[/field]

The wedding party then shuttled down to Forge in the Forest in Carmel-by-the-Sea, a Clint Eastwood hang out spot, for the welcome party. The bride stunned in her embroidered mini Zimmerman dress and the groom looked suave in his Suit Supply garb. They hung chandeliers in the tree behind the headtable. I look so cool!”

Everyone gathered at thoughtfully curated tables with colorful china & unexpected details all while hearing the music swell and dancing the night away under festive market lights![/field] Velvet grass pendants + a mix of gold and clear pendants hung above the table with greenery and florals to create a lush tabletop.
The focal point of the ceremony was the stunning floral arbor, which continued to dazzle guests behind the bride and groom at the headtable. Florist Mallory Joyce exceeded expectations, bringing their vision to life with organic designs that mimicked the natural growth of flowers in their surroundings.
I kept thinking back on wedding photos and the overall vibe aligning with classic brides like Jackie Kennedy and Grace Kelly. The room was flipped during cocktail time, so when you re-entered the reception, a long headtable sat where the original aisle was during the ceremony.

[/field] [field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The overall design vision was an English garden party mixed with the whimsy of Bridgerton mixed with subtle nods to the pop culture significance of a British Monarchy Royal Wedding. The bride’s grandmother had them in her wedding bouquet as well.
She visited 3 other shops before finding the perfect gown adorned with sequined and crystallized floral appliqu. To make it her own, she asked to have the original gown off the shoulder and added a glittery tulle over the skirt for extra drama. The guests enjoyed the specialty cocktails picked specially by the bride and groom.
