As a special treat to their guests, the bride and groom provided his and hers cocktails made and served by Peak Beverage. The groom decided on a spicy jalapeo margarita and the bride went with a lavender Tom Collins. The bride walked with her father down the aisle to Across the Universe by The Beatles.
Upon entering the reception guests were delighted with dinner which included a show stopper, chili and pineapple braised short ribs. The shoot ended with a timeless reception on the Cliftons front lawn, but threw in the popular, modern trend of swapping a cake cutting for a champagne tower! We wanted two looks for our bride that would both feel iconic: soft and old world glamorous, and black-tie-esqe avant-garde cutting edge fashion. Like characters in a movie, all the elements play a role.
We channeled ivories neutrals throughout for warmth, + used just a dash of gold at the reception for a touch of vintage. For the reception I wanted to go with a more casual look that still felt bridal + modern. I chose a Self Portrait mini dress that had similar embellishment to my gown. Pearls felt perfect for beachside glam!
Reception decor incorporated greenery-draped chandeliers, light blue taper candles, and gold accents, creating a perfect balance of elegance and natural beauty. As the sun began to set over Bluffton, the couple joined their guests in the Oak Ballroom of the property, where they were treated to an all-white reception design filled with candles, glass, and white orchids and roses down three long king tables to encourage guest mingling throughout the evening.
