The heartfelt speeches from my dad, our best man, and maid of honor added even more emotion to the evening. My biggest piece of advice is to surround yourself with vendors you truly connect with and trust. We were incredibly fortunate to work with an amazing group of professionals, and our planner, Stephanie, was invaluable.

I was joined by my mom, mother-in-law, maid of honor, and matron of honor as we spent the day visiting bridal shops around metro Detroit. Although we used mostly local vendors we decided to fly in Liz Banfield, who photographed our entire wedding weekend, from our private family church ceremony on Thursday through to our exit on Saturday night. Michael and I really hand-picked our vendors described our vision with those few words, showed them some of our favorite inspiration photos, and put our full trust in them! For my bridesmaids, I wanted an effortlessly cute look and allowed my girls complete freedom to pick their dresses. My first dress was the Eclipse by Eva Lendel.
