I figured, you might only get one opportunity (or maybe a few, no one’s counting) in your life to try on weddingdresses, so I went all out. I decided on a simple square neck, A-line design by Blue Willow from Anne Barge for my ceremony dress with a 3-tier wedding cake veil from Toni Federici.

I’m not the type who always dreamed about her big wedding day, so I didn’t have any preplanned ideas. I went dress shopping for just one day with my mom and mother-in-law in New York. My mom couldn’t make it, so it was just me and my friend Lauren, one of my bridesmaids. She absolutely crushed it.

Based on my experience, the search for the weddingdress begins right after booking the venue BUT if there is hesitation in purchasing right away then I would recommend looking AND purchasing the weddingdress at least EIGHT to TEN months before the wedding date. Never buy the dress before you book the venue.

To start us off we have this whimsical Texas wedding full of vibrant florals. The bride’s puff sleeve weddingdress had us all enchanted. And those powder blue mismatched bridesmaiddresses?! The ceremony arch was something out of a colorful dream.
