I absolutely loved seeing how guests interpreted my crazy theme and laughing with them about it the day of. Pat accessorized with a pair of Gucci loafers and a watch I gave him as a wedding gift.
Adam opted for a navy blue Ike Behar tuxedo; for the groomsmen, he got them black Bresciani tuxes to match. He also got matching blue and orange Brooks Brothers socks for himself, the groomsmen, both fathers and the reader! They can’t wait for another Fearrington dinner sometime soon!

Bride’s RehearsalDinner Dress: The Bride had her late Mom’s wedding dress shortened and tailored, and the big 80s sleeves somewhat de-puffed (by about half the puffiness, but they’re still puffy!). The Bride wore her mother’s pearls for the rehearsaldinner with her dress too. Pretty wild.
As a sweet detail, she kept some of the extra fabric after alterations to cut into bows as a part of her bridesmaid gifts that she gave her ladies at the rehearsaldinner![/field] She loved the removable sleeves, corset boning style top and hidden leg slit. There was no shortage on sweets![/field]

The wedding weekend kicked off with an al fresco dinner at Holman Ranch under the arbor covered in vines. The Mexican cuisine served by Paradise Catering was an ode to Matthew’s heritage. To round out the dessert options, the Townsend Catering team served salted caramel brownies and chocolate chip cookies late in the evening. to design a custom Heritage Gold suit. as a send off.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]My husband wore a custom dark green suit to our wedding, and his groomsmen wore a creamy-pearl suit to complement both the dark green and soft pastels of our color palette, and to match with the girls in white. To this day the smell of lilac takes me right back to our wedding day.
For the wedding/cocktail hour/reception we did a custom menu with Brancato’s Catering. We chose Jack Stack because I grew up loving their BBQ baked beans as a kid, I still do, and I was excited to share some of my childhood with friends and loved ones who hadn’t ever been to Kansas City. I also wanted it to be visually appealing too.
