Navy is one of Liz’s favorite all-purpose, go-to colors generally, so she chose it in the hopes that her Maids of Honor could wear their dresses again sometime! The maid-of-honor, my sister, created a vision board to ensure a cohesive aesthetic. Chef Juan Zavala at Mont La Salle kicked off the weekend with an incredible rehearsaldinner featuring some of our favorite dishes — salmon and risotto. Wine Country Entertainment did a phenomenal job with our ceremony music.
Light, cornflower, blue of particular importance to the bride, was used throughout the wedding from the invitations, to the ceremony cite, bridesmaids dresses, and day of stationery. It was important for the ceremony to be deeply personal, intimate, and of the times. A dear friend of the couple officiated and centered the ceremony around love and cherishing those around us. It just so happened that the bride’s sister was the only one to choose yellow, which made for a special Maid of Honor look.
Planned by KBD events in the heart of Dallas, Texas the couple chose to hold their ceremony at the Park Cities Presbyterian Church, the church they both grew up attending. Her reception dress, by designer Lela Rose, was also her rehearsaldinner dress, “I loved it so much I had to wear it again” said the bride.[/field]
My sister and maid of honor wore Oscar de la Renta, and the rest of the girls wore Coco Shop, Zimmermann, Abercrombie, de Castro, V Chapman, Alexis, Me + Em and Reformation. Our rehearsaldinner and welcome party were held on the beach, featuring amazing speeches that made us mainly laugh, but also cry.
It was cathedral length and flowed perfectly in the wind after the ceremony during our photos and cocktail hour. For the rehearsaldinner, I wore a maxi by Elie Saab. My sisters (both Maid of Honors) wore matching yellow linen dresses from Zimmermann that they each customized a bit to reflect their own personal style.
