The responsibilities assigned to the maid of honor aren't quite what they used to be. In case you hadn't noticed, weddings are a lot different than they were when our mothers were young. Who Is the Maid of Honor? A bride will typically appoint a sister, female relative, or best friend as the maid of honor.
Although we used mostly local vendors we decided to fly in Liz Banfield, who photographed our entire wedding weekend, from our private family church ceremony on Thursday through to our exit on Saturday night. Pat accessorized with a pair of Gucci loafers and a watch I gave him as a weddinggift.
It culminated with a Catholic ceremony on the steps of Saint Stanislaus Church in Altos De Chavon, followed by a wedding reception at a private ocean-side villa in Casa De Campo on February 10th, 2024. The Maid of Honors wore Bec & Bridge, Sabrina Musayev & Michelle Mason.

But we learned that if we led with heart and invited all our family to have an integral part in our wedding, they would feel honored too. And lastly, we wanted a practical weddinggift to our guests that could also add to the decor. As the wedding day got closer and more details were finalized I became more settled.
