They opted for the classic Chicago Hot Dog & Beef Sandwich for late night bites that were presented to guests in hocker tray just like you would see at a Chicago Cubs Game (the couples favorite!), Subtle nods to their favorite sports teams were woven into food and beverage selections.
The weather took a turn and there were high winds and rain, and so the reception was moved indoors. Regarding the design, the reception was beautifully sophisticated while still being inviting, but the ceremony was the true highlight. Bencivenga Altasartoria completely blew it out of the park!

Private outdoor venues present a distinct set of challenges that demand meticulous planning, surpassing the intricacies required for an indoor affair. Sometimes the parking lot is a mile away from the ceremony site and then it’s another mile walk back to the cocktail hour and reception.
It culminated with a Catholic ceremony on the steps of Saint Stanislaus Church in Altos De Chavon, followed by a wedding reception at a private ocean-side villa in Casa De Campo on February 10th, 2024. For the Reception, we worked on the space transformation for over a week.
Ceremony Aisle: A lush display of individual red roses arranged in clusters outlines the aisle. Reception Table: The tablescape features a cascading floral runner of red roses paired with green foliage, extending the length of the elegant white-linen-covered table. Greenery was used on the invitation suite and then carried into the ceremony decor. For thirty minutes prior to the ceremony, guests were entertained by a jazz trio and offered champagne and white wine, which got everyone in a festive mood and right in time to hear the couple’s thoughtful ceremony.
Instead, they embraced a more intimate approach by reserving seats for their closest friends at the ceremony allowing them to be present in the moment Sumners great uncle, Colonel Thomas Hubert Fincher , Jr. officiated the ceremony.
