The Difference Between “wedding planners” and “wedding designers” There are full service wedding planners that take care of the client experience by focusing on the planning of the logistics and there are event designers who focus more on the whole design and aesthetics of the wedding.

Their work typically starts a few months prior to the wedding when they begin working closely with you to develop your design vision, plan how to implement that vision, and create mock-ups of potential designs. Wedding decorators will occasionally also offer floral services, but they never include day-of coordination services.
