When giovann and I got engaged, this was the only venue we visited and within a month of being engaged, booked it as our own. For the Headtable we will order velvet linens and design a living arrangement down the entire center of the table with brass candlesticks. Permalink | Comments | Add to del.icio.us
We were then surprised by an engagement party with both of our families, who flew in and came together as a surprise to celebrate our love. Our floral arrangements included a mix of tall centerpieces, delicate bud vases, and a striking long arrangement for the 32-person headtable, offering visual interest and variety.
We brought in lucite/acrylic in with the chairs, headtable “acrylic” place mats, and lucite napkin rings. With the color that came through in the floral and tables, the bride had her bridesmaids in white to create a very modern look with wedding party and ceremony moments.

One over the headtable & one over the incredible dancing area. He had rented out the entire bar/restaurant so we could have an amazing engagement party there that same night. Some special moments during our day was reading letters from each other earlier in the day prior to our firstlook.
We decided on a long gold mirrored headtable for the welcome party and family surrounded by round tables in the courtyard. Sarasota is a very special, sentimental place to me and we’re lucky they happened to have the venue of our dreams![/field] Permalink | Comments | Add to del.icio.us
We both knew we would get engaged sometime after I finished PA school. Once we moved in together after I completed grad school, I jokingly said I wanted to be engaged by the end of the year (December 2022). We moved in together in June 2022 and were engaged July 22, 2022. My timeline worked! Buddy did such an amazing job!
Allie was so oblivious that the proposal was about to happen that when she saw the set-up, she thought to herself “Awww how sweet, someone must have just gotten engaged here today”, but it turned out to be for her! Placing them in areas like the headtable, cake table and DJ booth. He asked and of course she said yes!
So, the last weekend I had thought I would get engaged was a no-go. The room was flipped during cocktail time, so when you re-entered the reception, a long headtable sat where the original aisle was during the ceremony. We filled in a lush and long row of baby’s breath down the length of the table.
Matt then gathered all of their friends for an epic surprise engagement party at Rocco’s in Culver City. They hung chandeliers in the tree behind the headtable. They mixed vibrant fall colors and black details to create ethereal table scapes.
