We were on our way to what I thought was the 5th anniversary party for Public Hotel, where my sister was overseeing a construction project. Blake had arranged for the garden to stay open 30 minutes past its usual 6pm closing time. As we walked down the street, he suggested we take a detour through the garden. It was very sweet.
