The couple chose to have their firstlook on the Palmetto Bluff property, nestled underneath the ancient oak trees and Spanish moss of the Village Park Square of the property. An intimate, candlelit ceremony in the May River Chapel treated guests to heartfelt vows and stunning views of the May River at the back of the chapel.
We channeled ivories neutrals throughout for warmth, + used just a dash of gold at the reception for a touch of vintage. The most special and memorable thing for both of us was our FirstLook. For the reception I wanted to go with a more casual look that still felt bridal + modern. It was the perfect party dress!

The special bottling was named the Espousailles Cuvee as a nod to the nuptials.
The next area that was something they knew would elevate their ceremony & reception was rented chairs. One part of the reception they were most excited about was the martini room. Even with a plated meal, they wanted guests to take their seats and it feel grand. During the design part of planning, we landed on a martini room.
The iconic Hermitage Hotel, where the couple held their reception, perfectly complimented the minimally added reception touches of red, raspberry, purple, & green in the unique & eye catching floral arrangements.[/field] ” For their reception, the couple knew they wanted to keep the energy high!

Our wedding planner showed me some photos she’d found of reception tables nestled amongst flowers, almost as though they were in the middle of a garden. field] [field title=”Special Detail #1″]For the reception and dancing, I changed into a shorter, feathered dress and some bedazzled sneakers.
Reception decor incorporated greenery-draped chandeliers, light blue taper candles, and gold accents, creating a perfect balance of elegance and natural beauty. field] [field title=”Special Detail #1″]The private vow exchange, held just after the couples firstlook, was an incredibly special and intimate moment of the day.
For the reception, we used the same color palette, but added in a few red blooms to coordinate with the bright red drapes in the Omni Shoreham Ballroom. She accessorized this with gloves and a more traditional, simple veil during the ceremony and surprised guests with a vintage birdcage veil during the reception.
As guests made their way to the reception tables, they picked out their escort card from a Topo Chico escort card display shelf to open and enjoy before dinner was served! The reception area continued this theme with long tables adorned with light pinks, gentle yellows, and vibrant oranges. For the reception, the long tables were decorated with tall candelabras, cut fruit and flowers in the wedding colours, adding a touch of romance and sophistication to the evening.
