One of my bride-to-be’s recently asked, and then I realised it’s something that many couples want to include in their day but don’t know how to plan for it or what to consider is a FirstLook. So what is a firstlook? The FirstLook allows couples to share a special moment together. How is it usually done?

The FirstLook At Simply Breathe Events, we LOVE a firstlook. This firstlook was a beautiful testament to their love story, a quiet pause that allowed them to connect deeply before sharing their vows. For the reception design, we used a mix of warm wood tones, colorful blooms, candles, and rich textures.
This monogram became a recurring element throughout the event, appearing on the menu, floor decals, and a stunning 8ft black acrylic escort wall adorned with soft romantic floral arrangements and an abundance of candles (keep scrolling for their stunning reception setup!). I went back and forth with her designing a receptionlook I could dance the night away. If you want to be stress-free and picture-perfect having and amazing team there to keep you looking fresh, and fluffed is key! For my reception dress I paired it with a simple badgley mischka heel and understated earring.

On the wedding day, Grace was extremely flexible when our schedule changed unexpectedly during the reception. She worked great alongside our videographer and was super professional. It was such a fun day filled with unforgettable moments, from the beautiful bride’s firstlook with her father and then with her groom to their post-wedding venture over to Universal’s CityWalk for an extended late-night celebration. We thought Amanda looked absolutely beautiful in her lace, off-the-shoulder wedding gown.
