The FirstLook At Simply Breathe Events, we LOVE a firstlook. It is sometimes one of the most anticipated moments of a wedding day! This firstlook was a beautiful testament to their love story, a quiet pause that allowed them to connect deeply before sharing their vows.
I’ve been asked a few questions lately and I know each supplier will cover the details of the day but I thought it might be good to share some of these to help couples think about what to include in their ceremony and how to plan for your weddingceremony and pre-ceremony elements. But we all know rain on your wedding day is good luck so bring it on! Shira and Tim decided to not see each other before the ceremony and did not want to do a firstlook. Next, every couple has different visions of how their Spring Iceland weddingceremony will happen. How special, right?!
The theme for our weddingceremony was “Florentine Fairytale” and we wanted the color palette and florals to accent the backdrop of the Tuscan countryside. Our ceremony songs were in both of our languages and honored both of our families and backgrounds.
The ceremony takes place in the gorgeous tiny garden of Bastide de Toursainte , with the arch placed near the French fountain wall framed with seasonal flowers. Coupled with dazzling sparklers that erupted during the cake cutting, the whole affair was a spectacular surprise and was only made sweeter by the dessert that followed – a mouth-watering medley of passion fruit, lemon, white chocolate and vanilla wedding cake.

On our wedding day we had beers and wine for our guests before the weddingceremony as it was sunny and hot. The wedding reception was family style with fish and steak. Our Welcome Party Friday night had plenty of sliders and poke and a full bar. It was very important to us that there was never a line at the bar.
