We covered the trees outside their home in fairy lights and lit the pathway across the small stream leading to the reception with lanterns that shed light on their rose gardens. My one ask was that they be white or cream in accordance with the old wives tale that the wedding party wearing white deters evil spirits and protects the marriage.
