Heidi Gave us these descriptives for her dream day: Garden Party, Grandmillennial, great good, fun reception atmosphere![/field] When guests entered the reception they were greeted by servers in blue aprons holding moss trays with margaritas in custom mini parton bottles! To end the night, they passed French Fries on the dance floor!
Danielle also changed into a gorgeous sparkly, form fitting gown for the reception.[/field] field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen wore Simons Formal Wear out of Augusta, GA. [/field] [field title=”Florals & Decor”]The florals were colorful bold and fun.
For the reception, she removed the bolero and added, in its place, a playful touch with a charming pearl “party bow![/field] field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen’s suits were custom creations by Indochino.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”] The groom wore an ivory suit by Tom Ford, and the groomsmen wore classic black suits by Robbie & Co. [/field] [field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”] The bridesmaids wore white asymmetrical dresses with shoulder bow accents by Dress the Population.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Groomsmen attire was quite the topic of discussion! She even sourced gorgeous silk white bows for the inner ceremony seats that were later moved to the headtable. Hayden had a few must-haves: open bar, no bar line, live band, and preferably jeans.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]For the groomsmen, we chose The Black Tux because it was important to offer both rental and purchase options. The groomsmen coordinated everything through an online portal, ensuring all pieces were accounted for without any hassle. I highly recommend them.[/field]
The bride wanted the headtable to feel as though you were dining amongst the flowers in an upside down garden. Together, Leila James Events and Stone Blossom designed a stunning, draping delphinium installation was added over the headtable, which created an extra pop of blue to the already breathtaking surroundings.
Oh, and always consider who has already sent in their RSVPs to your wedding invitations so that you can confirm seats for guests as you move toward your big day and start to flesh out your reception seating chart. Remember that when it comes to wedding reception seating charts, there are a few rules to follow— and maybe a few to break.
One over the headtable & one over the incredible dancing area. My reception dress was from Dmitras Bridal.[/field] field] [field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Bridesmaid dresses from Bhldn and groomsmen looks from the Black Tux. Lighting was such an important element as well to warm up such a modern space.
The voluminous skirt was detachable so she could go from a show-stopping and romantic look at a ceremony to a chic and refined ensemble at the reception. The headtables featured white jacquard linens, a favorite textile of the brides, and the guest tables featured an ivory overlay. Guests absolutely loved it!
Although the venue is gorgeous with high ceilings and a ton of character lending to its history, we wanted to turn it into a garden vibe and create that WOW moment both when walking into ceremony and then again after the room turn, when seeing the reception decked out in white and textural details.[/field] He was also adorned in flowers!

We decided on a long gold mirrored headtable for the welcome party and family surrounded by round tables in the courtyard. We wanted the cake to go along with the simple, elegant, spring theme.[/field]
The Taylor Swift-inspired butterfly cake on the headtable was the crown jewel among cake pops, macaroons, cookie bars and even more cakes! field] [field title=”Wedding Cake”] Multiple cakes adorned several tables throughout the reception – most notably the Taylor Swift-inspired butterfly cake at the headtable.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Chris wore a custom, traditional tuxedo from Suit Supply, tailored to fit him perfectly while his groomsmen wore the Notch Lapel tuxedo rented from The Black Tux.[/field] We also love the dual purpose that these serve in being able to move them to the reception space and give them more life!
[section title=”The Planning”] [field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, bright natural greens, and a hint of blush pink [/field] [field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]From a custom painted dress from Lake Como, Italy to a museum reception hall, this black tie affair was designed with art and family roots in mind.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom and groomsmen brought a refined, timeless look in black tuxedos, the perfect choice to pair with the bridesmaids’ elegant moss gowns. field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groomsmen were dressed in classic navy suits to create a timeless look that contrasted nicely against the bright colors of the bridal party.[/field] Mixed with the lush arch showcasing a picture frame view of the bay behind them, were vibrant florals in orange, red, and pink.
After the ceremony, he exchanged his tux jacket for a white dinner jacket and wore that for our sunset photos and the reception. The groomsmen also wore traditional black and white tuxedos with black bow ties, cummerbunds, and black dress shoes.[/field] We filled in a lush and long row of baby’s breath down the length of the table.
The Black Tux also made it easy for groomsmen to order their tuxedos and accessories all in one place. They hung chandeliers in the tree behind the headtable. They mixed vibrant fall colors and black details to create ethereal table scapes. Courtney helped them figure out details that were unique yet dreamy and classic.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom and his groomsmen looked oh so sophisticated in their classic black tuxedos.[/field] To kick off the open bar reception, the bride and groom poured bottles of Moët & Chandon into their champagne tower! The headtable was definitely the stand out!
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Groomsmen wore shades of Navy to play into the bright and colorful day and compliment the bridesmaids lighter toned dresses.[/field] The bride’s family surprised her during the wedding with flying in the actual current Oregon Duck Mascot to join us for the reception.
The groom’s tuxedo was custom made in Boston and the groomsmen rented similar looking tuxedos from Jos. The focal point of the ceremony was the stunning floral arbor, which continued to dazzle guests behind the bride and groom at the headtable. field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Groomsman Attire: Black tie.
field] [field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom and groomsmen wore classic black tuxes to compliment the classic feel of the wedding. I loved the dainty and ethereal look of baby’s breath, which we incorporated into my bridesmaids bouquets, headtable runner and some tall “cloud” like table arrangements.
The groomsmen did their part by adding some emerald green in their ties. Wedding Reception Details Moving into the reception we see the stunning arch used for the ceremony repurposed to the headtable. the florals on the headtable included matching blush roses, ranunculus, and eucalyptus.
Alex’s groomsmen were suited up in the same navy/royal blue colored suit with a champagne gold tie and a pink boutonnière to tie them in with the ladies. Wedding Reception Details Moving into the reception which was set to perfection! Small bouquets were used to scale the length of the head-table below the tall poufs.
The person who catches the bouquet is said to be married next Buck’s night- a gathering of the groom-to-be’s closest friends to celebrate their friendship and his upcoming marriage (also called a “bachelor party”) Buffet- a variety of dishes displayed on tables that guests can create their own plates from.
I like to think of this package as the “wedding weekend package” because it includes a wine, cheese, and charcuterie welcome reception the day before your wedding, a glamping tent lounge on the wedding day, and a farewell brunch the day after your wedding.
