Adam opted for a navy blue Ike Behar tuxedo; for the groomsmen, he got them black Bresciani tuxes to match. He also got matching blue and orange Brooks Brothers socks for himself, the groomsmen, both fathers and the reader! Marek is a fan of architecture, so we brought in touches of the Mont La Salle building details into the stationery design, constructed a custom seating display (in the style of one of their fav Chicago hangouts), and upgraded the reception chairs to something a bit more modern. The rehearsaldinner was placed among the vines of the vineyard, creating an intimate al fresco experience while the wedding that followed was inspired by French market culture and placed under romantic café lighting. There is nothing I love more than hosting a fun dinner party. We wanted to combine all of these elements to host a reception that was equal parts fun and beautiful. The reception included pink florals, Mexican terracotta table settings (in blue), custom pink maracas, disco balls and lots of fun elements. They wanted their wedding day to be a mix of emotions from a romantic ceremony to a lively cocktail hour with a mariachi band to a dinner party and vibrant reception.
We covered the trees outside their home in fairy lights and lit the pathway across the small stream leading to the reception with lanterns that shed light on their rose gardens. For the welcome dinner I wore a modern two piece all white number from Australian designer KYHA, another nod to Adam’s heritage. For the reception I wanted to dazzle Adam – literally.
