For the reception, I went full party vibes with a sequined column dress adorned with ostrich feathers from Varca Bridal. By then, we were dancing up a storm!
The cocktail hour and reception design featured patterned linens by local linen company Stradley Davidson, rattan accents and chargers, and colorful floral compotes and bud vases down two long king tables situated under the oak trees. As the couple entered their reception, they ‘soft opened’ the evening with a mini champagne tower, too!

As the sun began to set over Bluffton, the couple joined their guests in the Oak Ballroom of the property, where they were treated to an all-white reception design filled with candles, glass, and white orchids and roses down three long king tables to encourage guest mingling throughout the evening. Reception Dress : For our reception I decided to change into a hand beaded Clio Peppiatt dress so that I could comfortably boogie on the dance floor with our guests all night long![/field] Nick and I love to try different foods, so for our reception dinner we opted for dinner stations so that guests could try more than one entree.
Inside, the reception space burst with color and vibrancy, featuring lush floral arrangements in bold pinks, oranges, and blues. Large floral arrangements framed the bands stage, seamlessly blending the reception decor with the lively dance floor where Maggie and David danced the night away with their loved ones.
Tommy and his groomsmen donned classic black tuxedos, adding a timeless contrast to the ethereal color palette. Reception: Where Romance Met Refined Luxury Inside the reception space, every detail told a story. Their looks were complemented with dainty bouquets of white florals with hints of blue and yellow.
I loved the way the straps almost blended into my skin, so that the sleeves looked like part of the dress, as opposed to a jacket, and when I took the jacket off during the reception, the dress didn’t look like it had straps, but had all the support. The groomsmen were only told to wear a black tux.[/field]
For the reception I wanted to dazzle Adam – literally. For the wedding/cocktail hour/reception we did a custom menu with Brancato’s Catering. During the reception we had a plated dinner that kicked off with a salad course that featured mesclun greens, chioggia beets, and a floral goat cheese coin. It was perfect.
