We moved in together but our busy schedule has taken priority of our time. In the center of the room, coming straight from the dance floor toward the back of the room was the 32ft long kings table where the aisle pieces from ceremony were transferred and became the runner on top of this dramatic head table.

I found vintage peacocks at an antique store for the head table, and used them in my invites and wedding signage. Jillian, not knowing of the impending proposal, scheduled a bike tour for that morning. I chose Mattie’s because of its romantic historic charm. And I fell in love with the venue’s roaming peacocks!

I had a very busy schedule that summer, so my open weekends were limited. The room was flipped during cocktail time, so when you re-entered the reception, a long head table sat where the original aisle was during the ceremony. We filled in a lush and long row of baby’s breath down the length of the table.

They decided on a weekend wedding schedule that started on Friday and included wine, cheese, and charcuterie for guests to stop by and say hi to Sarah and Lahiru. For their head table, they used the long wood hairpin tables from Beltane Ranch (they fit 20 people each) topped with colorful florals and gray tile table numbers.
