Emma & Matt knew that their guests’ first impression of the wedding weekend would be the moment they opened up their invitation. Emma had all invitation suites letterpressed, with neutral colors and a monogram that we incorporated not only in the invitation suite, but also throughout the wedding design.
The vision was a “chic & playful wedding at a family farm.” I figured, you might only get one opportunity (or maybe a few, no one’s counting) in your life to try on wedding dresses, so I went all out. I wanted an event palette that felt fresh and modern, and wasn’t too matchy matchy. It was a decoy!
I intended to wear the lace top for the entire event but once I got closer to the wedding date, I ended up wanting to take it off after dinner and added some fun sleeves for the reception which completely changed the look and a lot of people thought it was a completely different dress. Well, so I thought.
On the wedding day, the print was brought in on the custom dance floor, the custom full circular bar outside for guests to go to all evening, and many spots in the day of signage & paper goods. field] [field title=”WeddingCake”]Maddie & CJ had both a bride & grooms cake at the wedding!

The beautiful view of the city skyline and lakefront made the Adler Planetarium the perfect venue. Neither the bridal shop nor the many tailors I reached out to could fix the mistake, so a few months before the wedding, I had to start the search over again. I ordered a dress almost a year in advance with some customizations.
I found our venue, MacArthur Place, via Instagram and loved how the grounds were made up of several cottages with multiple lawn areas, as having an outdoor wedding was my priority. They were both closely included in our wedding, one as the officiant and the other gave a speech at our dinner reception.
Although the bride had never been to Sunriver herself, seeing the photos from that wedding and hearing Joey’s family’s praise, combined with her connection with Kelsey, convinced her it would be the perfect location for their celebration with all their loved ones.
