While your wedding day naturally commands the most attention during planning, the rehearsaldinner plays a crucial role in setting the tone for your celebration weekend. We consulted Junebug’s top wedding vendors to identify rehearsaldinner mistakes couples face when organizing this important pre-wedding event.
The cocktail hour and reception design featured patterned linens by local linen company Stradley Davidson, rattan accents and chargers, and colorful floral compotes and bud vases down two long king tables situated under the oak trees. As the couple entered their reception, they ‘soft opened’ the evening with a mini champagne tower, too!
[section title=”The Planning”] [field title=”Wedding Colors”]The rehearsaldinner palette is blue and white with deep and bright reds, oranges, and yellows. Steer/Texas longhorn notes were used in the cocktail hour decor, and in the antler chandeliers in the dinner tent.
For the rehearsalDinner, Alice and Aprocat transformed the Adolphus Hotel into New Orleans to reference where Jack grew up in. Furthermore, the welcome dinner was a Texas theme. There were touches of American airline details in the cocktail hour napkins, as well as the services dressed like American Airlines flight attendants.
Many aspects of their wedding design were inspired by Estevan and Michael’s clothing, such as the reception menus that copied Estevan and Michael’s Dolce & Gabbana jackets. Also, the rehearsaldinner decorations had the same colors as their outfits. Our wedding was a very involved concept and buildout.
Organic florals, a long serpentine table for an outdoor reception, and gorgeous stationery were just some of the details selected to showcase this design direction. One long serpentine table served as the reception setup for all 100 guests in the back garden. Permalink | Comments | Add to del.icio.us

There was a dessert table with all sorts of goodies like macaroons, donuts, cakes and cookies placed at the back of the reception room. It was important to have it pop out as a statement to align with the drama of the yellow platform aisle, yellow aisle florals, and yellow tones strategically placed in the reception.

The theme of our Friday welcome reception was garden cocktail party after both the location, Atria’s beautiful lawn and tented patio, as well as my middle name “Rose”. We kept to mostly shades of white, sprinkled with pops of blue, and the smallest dusting of soft pink in just a few spots in the reception tent.
