The cocktail hour and reception design featured patterned linens by local linen company Stradley Davidson, rattan accents and chargers, and colorful floral compotes and bud vases down two long king tables situated under the oak trees. As the couple entered their reception, they ‘soft opened’ the evening with a mini champagne tower, too!

Sticking with neutral colors, the bride designed a wedding inspired by the venue itself and with the intention to stay true to a timeless style. Organic florals, a long serpentine table for an outdoor reception, and gorgeous stationery were just some of the details selected to showcase this design direction.

There was a dessert table with all sorts of goodies like macaroons, donuts, cakes and cookies placed at the back of the reception room. It was important to have it pop out as a statement to align with the drama of the yellow platform aisle, yellow aisle florals, and yellow tones strategically placed in the reception.
Hosted by the talented Sarah Woods, the shoot also highlighted key moments of the wedding experience, including a stylish rehearsaldinner and joyous bridal party assemble. The theme of our Friday welcome reception was garden cocktail party after both the location, Atria’s beautiful lawn and tented patio, as well as my middle name “Rose”. For dessert, we had weddingcake, assorted mini desserts, and espresso martinis to keep the party going all night long.

The reception/late-night wedding dress designer was Berta, and the dress was tulle. While I loved my mermaid ceremony gown, it wasn’t easy to move around (much less dance), so I was looking for something a bit more comfortable for the second half of the reception. Chandeliers draped with greenery hung from the top of the tent.
Liba instantly fell in love with the floral pattern, pearl details, and bow that could be easily added to the back of the dress after the ceremony for a reception/transformation reveal. For the welcome party and rehearsaldinner, they chose one of their favorite Italian eateries, Le Farfalle.

Marek is a fan of architecture, so we brought in touches of the Mont La Salle building details into the stationery design, constructed a custom seating display (in the style of one of their fav Chicago hangouts), and upgraded the reception chairs to something a bit more modern.
