On our wedding day we had beers and wine for our guests before the wedding ceremony as it was sunny and hot. The wedding reception was family style with fish and steak. Our Welcome Party Friday night had plenty of sliders and poke and a full bar. It was very important to us that there was never a line at the bar.

Because their wedding theme was elegance, I had Cody get ready in the venue’s study. There, Cody’s groomsmen and father helped him get ready and watched as he opened Sarah’s wedding gift to him. When I say Cody is the sweetest groom I’ve ever met, I mean it! It was so cute! Good timing right?

Cocktail hour- an “hour” directly following the wedding ceremony where guests gather to mingle, eat appetizers, and enjoy alcoholic beverages. Men are expected to wear afternoon suits and women are expected to wear nice dresses that are less formal than evening gowns but more formal than sundresses, suits, or skirts with a blazer.
